AUTHOR SCHOOL VISITS


Author Barry Eva, who also writes under the name "Storyheart", was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England, moving to USA in 2000, and now lives in Connecticut.

With his whit, oratory, and old-fashioned English charm, Barry is a much sort after both as a presenter and interviewee on radio and TV.



Barry has also become a very popular radio show host with his show "A Book and a Chat" on "blogtalkradio". The show which started in February 2009 has had well over 500 guests from around the world ranging from bloggers to multimillion bestselling authors, being in such demand he now carries out three to four shows a week with a booking list many months ahead.

Since Barry's YA novel "Across the Pond "came out in 2008 it has become a huge hit, with over 100 reviews on Amazon. Written under the name Storyheart he has been compared by some as "a modern day Judy Blume," and "Across the Pond" has been placed in the same category along side books like "Harry Potter" and "Twilight." Enjoyed by people all over the world, while intended for the Teen/Young Adult market, has become popular with people of all ages.

His new EBook "The Bathroom Book of Romance", the first in a series of books with short stories, is short enough to read over a cup of tea or coffee, or whenever you have some time to yourself, yet long enough to bring a tear to your eye or a smile to your face. In fact some people call them "bathroom stories" as that might be the only place you get five minutes peace and quiet to yourself.

Barry can bring the experience and knowledge that he has gained from radio show guests and with his own book in a talk on how you can promote your book on the internet without spending a fortune, as well as some of the pitfalls authors might fall into.

A humorous talk about some of the things people in the US might not know about the United Kingdom. How the British flag is made up, why we drive on the left hand side of the road and the origin of some well known English sayings. As well as some insight into the many famous people Barry has met, and his recent trip to the London Olympics.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A WRITER
Barry uses his knowledge and experience to share some of the issues one runs into when you try and become a writer. Plus some helpful hints and suggestions to help would be writers along the literary path.

Barry has shared the knowledge he has gathered from his radio shows as well as being an author at many events and discussions and has been a panelist on this issue at several large author events including "Write Angel 25".

Appearance costs will depend on the distance, number of events and audience size, however it is promised that it will be kept to the minimum as Barry, himself the father of three children believes that sharing in children's education is very important.
